North Wales Police are intensifying roadside checks to combat drink and drug-driving as summer festivities increase. The police have reported a significant rise in arrests, with 883 for drink-driving and 1,317 for drug-driving last year. Inspector Leigh Evans emphasised that driving under the influence remains a leading cause of serious accidents.
