A 38-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving following a hit-and-run incident in Belfast. The charges stem from a police pursuit that began in the Broadway area and involved multiple locations across west and north Belfast. During the chase, several vehicles were damaged, highlighting the potential risks to public safety during such reckless behaviour.

In addition to dangerous driving, the man faces charges for failing to stop after an accident, driving without insurance, and fraudulent use of a registration mark. These charges reflect serious violations that can have significant legal consequences, including potential imprisonment and hefty fines.

A second individual, aged 40, was also arrested but has since been released on bail as investigations continue. This incident raises concerns about road safety and the implications of hit-and-run cases, which can leave victims vulnerable and without recourse.

The man is scheduled to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court, where the legal proceedings will unfold. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible driving and the legal repercussions of failing to adhere to road safety laws.
