The railway line between Lewes and Haywards Heath will remain closed for at least ten days following a serious train derailment. Two passengers were severely injured when three carriages of a Southern train derailed and slid down an embankment. While their injuries are not life-threatening, the incident has raised concerns about safety and infrastructure in the area.
