The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed a significant change affecting nearly four million Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claimants. The new rules extend the review periods for health assessments, setting them at a minimum of three years, and up to five years for those whose conditions are unlikely to change. This reform aims to alleviate pressure on both claimants and healthcare professionals by reducing the frequency of assessments.
