Starting at the Temple of Isis and Serapis, the six-kilometre route winds through significant landmarks, including the Area Sacra of Largo Argentina, known for its cat colony, and the iconic Colosseum. This early morning tour, beginning between 6 am and 7 am, allows runners to experience the city before the crowds arrive.
Led by art historian Isabella Calidonna, the tour encourages a slower pace, allowing participants to appreciate the details of both the ancient ruins and the cats that inhabit them. This approach not only highlights Rome’s rich history but also fosters a connection with its vibrant animal life.
