A three-year-old boy was rescued after getting into difficulty in a body of water at Bryngarw Country Park in Bridgend. The incident occurred around 14:20 BST, prompting a swift response from South Wales Police and emergency services.

A member of the public performed CPR on the child until an ambulance arrived, highlighting the importance of immediate action in life-threatening situations. The boy, who is from Newport, was subsequently taken to hospital, where his condition is reported as stable.

This incident raises awareness about water safety, particularly in public parks where families often visit. Parents and guardians are reminded to keep a close watch on young children near water bodies, as accidents can happen quickly.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which serves as a reminder of the potential dangers in seemingly safe recreational areas. Community members are encouraged to learn CPR and first aid, which can be crucial in emergencies like this one.
