A 31-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences following a police crackdown on fraud and rogue traders in Northern Ireland. The charges include fraud by false representation and obtaining property by deception, stemming from a recent PSNI Day of Action aimed at tackling cold-callers in the Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon areas.

The police operation involved vehicle checks and targeted known hotspots for fraudulent activities. This crackdown highlights the ongoing issue of aggressive commercial practices that often exploit vulnerable individuals, particularly the elderly.

The man was arrested on Newry Road in Armagh and is set to appear in court soon. His charges also include assault and harassment, indicating a broader pattern of criminal behaviour that could have serious implications for community safety.

As authorities ramp up efforts against fraud, residents are urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding against scams that can have devastating financial impacts on individuals and families.
