Burke, who had been friends with Blades for over 30 years, took on the challenge that Blades had originally signed up for, aiming to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK, a cause close to Blades’ heart due to his step-mother’s diagnosis. In a touching statement, Burke expressed his pride in carrying on his friend’s legacy, stating, “This one’s for you, mate. I’ll get you over that finish line.”
