New Long-Distance Train Route to Enhance European Connectivity

Starting June 25, a new train service will connect major cities across Europe, spanning over 1,300 kilometres. This route, operated by Leo Express, will link the Polish city of Przemyśl, near the Ukrainian border, to Frankfurt am Main and Frankfurt Airport, facilitating travel between Western and Eastern Europe.

The service aims to simplify cross-border travel, offering one daily train in each direction. With fares starting at just €10, it presents an affordable option for passengers. The route will pass through key cities like Kraków, Prague, and Dresden, enhancing accessibility to these urban centres.

This initiative not only promotes tourism but also strengthens economic ties between countries. By providing seamless connections to major airports, it could encourage more international travel and business exchanges, particularly as Europe continues to recover from pandemic-related disruptions.

Moreover, the train will feature modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and power outlets, catering to the needs of today’s travellers. As this service launches, it may signal a shift towards greater investment in rail infrastructure across Europe, potentially influencing future transport policies and travel habits.
