Emma Webber, mother of Barnaby Webber, who was killed in the Nottingham attacks, has vowed to seek justice for the rest of her life. Following the conclusion of a public inquiry, she revealed that her son’s death was deemed ‘potentially preventable’, highlighting failures in emergency response and police coordination that could have saved him.

The inquiry, which examined the events surrounding the attacks that left three dead, revealed shocking evidence about the delays in medical intervention. Emma expressed her determination to push for changes in the system, stating that the painful revelations only strengthen her resolve to ensure accountability.

As the inquiry heard from 164 witnesses, it became clear that multiple systemic failures contributed to the tragic outcomes. Emma’s commitment to continue her campaign underscores the need for reform in emergency services and mental health care, particularly in how they respond to crises.

With the inquiry’s findings expected by May next year, Emma aims to use this platform to advocate for necessary changes, ensuring that no other family has to endure such a loss due to preventable circumstances. Her fight is not just for her son, but for all victims of similar tragedies.
