Six months after the death of Beata Szauer, a Polish hairdresser found with suspected stab wounds, Bedfordshire Police are appealing for information. Szauer, 46, was last seen on CCTV on December 21, two weeks before her body was discovered in January. The police have stated that they know very little about her life and are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have interacted with her during that time.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Khanna emphasized the importance of gathering information from Szauer’s friends and associates, as they may hold crucial details that could help solve the case. Two men in their 50s have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of her murder, while another man in his 40s, also arrested, has died, with his death not being treated as suspicious.

The investigation highlights the vulnerability of individuals like Szauer, who worked remotely and may not have had a wide social network. Police are urging anyone who frequented local shops or knew her to come forward, as they believe there are still people who can provide insights into her final days.

This case serves as a reminder of the hidden dangers that can affect vulnerable individuals in our communities. The police are committed to finding justice for Szauer and her family, and they are hopeful that public assistance will lead to significant breakthroughs in the investigation.
