Despite the challenges posed by climate change, there are notable environmental wins emerging globally. For instance, a Seattle-based company has developed an innovative solution to help fish migrate past dams, which are often barriers to their natural habitats. This method allows fish to travel through a tube cushioned by water, ensuring their safety and survival rates remain unaffected.

Cities worldwide are also tackling the increasing heat from global warming. Initiatives include planting trees, redesigning urban spaces, and providing solar-powered cooling systems to support vulnerable communities. These efforts not only enhance urban resilience but also improve public health outcomes during extreme heat events.

In the United States, a significant majority of faith leaders acknowledge human-caused climate change, yet many have not engaged their congregations on the topic. Nevertheless, some, like Reverend Bradley Mattson, are taking action through sermons and community initiatives, fostering a dialogue on environmental stewardship.

In Uganda, musician Vicent Kikabi, known as Green Daddy, is mobilising youth through music and education to create an ‘environmental army.’ His vibrant approach aims to inspire sustainable practices among the younger generation, demonstrating that grassroots movements can effectively drive change.
