A major search and rescue operation has concluded with the recovery of a body after a passenger reportedly fell overboard from the cruise ship MS Ambition off the east coast of Scotland. The incident occurred approximately 36 nautical miles east of Arbroath, prompting a swift response from HM Coastguard, which deployed helicopters and aircraft to assist in the search.
The cruise ship was en route from Lerwick to Dundee when the passenger was reported missing. Following a thorough search of the vessel, the ship docked in Dundee, allowing other guests to disembark. The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed, but Police Scotland has informed the family of the missing man.
