Belfast is witnessing a significant shift in the use of its office spaces as planning permissions have been granted for several conversions into hotels and nursing homes. One notable project includes the redevelopment of the Halifax office in the Gasworks into a 156-bedroom nursing home, highlighting the city’s commitment to repurposing redundant office buildings. The former headquarters of Stormont’s Department for the Economy will also be transformed into residential and nursing care facilities, featuring assisted living apartments.
