Three World War II veterans recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by flying in iconic Spitfire planes, thanks to the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans. Alfred Cooley, Ivan Staines, and Paul Terry took a 45-minute flight over the British countryside, an experience they described as unforgettable.
At ages 100, 99, and 101 respectively, the veterans reflected on their flights with joy and gratitude. Cooley expressed that he never thought he would have such an opportunity, while Staines enjoyed the breathtaking views of the countryside.
