Belsonic Festival Set to Rock Belfast This Summer

The Belsonic music festival is gearing up for its annual return to Ormeau Park in Belfast, promising ten nights of diverse performances from June 12 to July 1. This year’s line-up features big names like Kings of Leon, The Cure, and Michael Bublé, attracting music fans from across the UK and beyond. Last year, over 100,000 attendees enjoyed the festival, highlighting its growing significance in the summer event calendar.

As the festival approaches, organisers are emphasising the importance of public transport for attendees. With no special shuttle services, concertgoers are encouraged to use scheduled Metro services and additional rail options from Lanyon Place Station. This shift towards public transport not only eases congestion but also reflects a broader trend in event management prioritising sustainability and accessibility.

For families, the festival has specific age restrictions, allowing under-16s to attend certain performances if accompanied by an adult. This policy aims to create a family-friendly atmosphere while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Attendees are reminded to arrive at the venue on time, as gates open at 18:00 BST and the last entrance is at 21:45 BST.

Belsonic’s commitment to accessibility is evident, with dedicated facilities for those requiring assistance. This includes accessible parking and designated entrances, ensuring that all concertgoers can enjoy the performances comfortably. As the festival kicks off, it not only showcases musical talent but also sets a precedent for future events in terms of inclusivity and environmental responsibility.
