A woman was caught on CCTV vandalising a £75,000 McLaren 570S parked in a driveway in Pembroke. The incident, which occurred on June 16, shows her kicking the car multiple times, leaving scratches on its bonnet. The owner, Gareth Edwards, described the act as shocking and bizarre, noting that the damage could cost him up to £300 to repair.

This incident raises concerns about public safety and the potential for random acts of vandalism. Such behaviour not only affects the victims financially but also contributes to a growing sense of insecurity in communities. Edwards has since moved his car to a friend’s house to keep it out of sight while he is on holiday, highlighting the personal impact of such vandalism.

Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating the matter, which underscores the importance of community vigilance and the role of technology in capturing criminal acts. As more people invest in high-value vehicles, the risk of similar incidents may increase, prompting discussions about the need for enhanced security measures.

Ultimately, this incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of public behaviour and its consequences on individuals’ lives and property. It also raises questions about societal attitudes towards personal property and respect within communities.
