Heavy rainfall in Indiana has resulted in at least five fatalities and severe flooding, prompting a federal response to assist recovery efforts. Among the lives lost were a 58-year-old woman believed to have drowned in her vehicle and a four-year-old child killed when a tree fell on their home. These tragic incidents underscore the perilous conditions many residents now face.
